In Taxback we like to develop our potential from within and provide our people with opportunities for rapid career progression. Julia Gencheva joined Taxback in our filing section. Recently, she was selected to take part in our tax development program, TaxbackPro.

I am a tax specialist with Taxback.com based in Varna, Bulgaria. After one only year with Taxback, I was selected for Taxback Pro, our professional development program for new tax professionals. With Taxback Pro, I have just completed the Irish TMITI program and I am a qualified Tax Specialist. I was given lots of support from my managers. We took part in specially designed internal courses and mock exams and we got time off to study and take my final exams. In Taxback, there is a real culture of continuous learning and support. All you need is a constant curiosity and a willingness to learn. In such a short period, I have managed to develop a career as a tax professional.

I hope to continue my development and become a Chartered Tax Adviser. Taxback.com is a place where people who have ambition are encouraged to follow through. There really are no limits.

Albena Pasheva’s first job in 2002 was with Taxback and since then she has gone from strength to strength.

I joined Taxback International in 2002 and it’s been a really fantastic experience. TBI is a great place to work and has a vibrant and rewarding culture. The company strongly believes in promoting a good work/life balance. The off-site activities are great such as team building events and our great Christmas and summer parties.

I’ve been here for 12 years. Taxback recognizes staff for their loyalty through its 10 Year Service recognition program and additional paid leave. I was also really pleased to be selected as a Taxback Champion as part of our annual awards program!

What do you need to do to be recognized and to progress? You just need to work hard, innovate and, most importantly, be thorough and customer-focused. The rewards will follow.

From my first day, I thought the company ethos and actions were very progressive and open minded. Nearly 5 years on, I haven’t changed my mind. Working for Sales-Promotions as a Business Account Manager, where I acquire new business and expand on existing client relationships, offers a very diverse working day. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Okay, everyone says that. The difference is that with Taxback, it’s true. While we started out providing tax refund services we have now branched out into many different businesses in over 100 different locations. International money transfers, foreign exchange, sales fulfillment, travel and expense management, the list goes on. Our IT systems and software development group are central to our innovative spirit.

I started in the company at the beginning of 2013. It’s a very friendly company and the atmosphere here is just awesome (yes awesome!). There are over 60 software and IT professionals here and it’s a great place to develop ideas and learn. The job is great. I’m learning new things each day and constantly improving my skills.

Problem solving is key to what I do. The company needs innovative programs and methodologies to produce the highest quality work for our global customers. Each day brings new challenges. Modern technologies, new strategies and ideas are constantly evolving and every employee is encouraged to suggest his own ideas. We have a Bright Ideas program where staff are encouraged and rewarded for suggesting new and innovative ideas.
